Welcome! We are so happy that you clicked over to our new home!

DeKalb School Watch was hosted by Blogger for over two years and will remain ‘live’ at its original site in its original form. All of the over 900 postings, photos and links will be active, searchable and readable on the internet in perpetuity. Feel free to click back to our original home at any time to check old stories, research the past or follow-up on a new posting found here.

Our post contributors will no longer be identified by name or moniker as all postings will simply be posted by the “DeKalb School Watch” administrator. All comments will be monitored and although you can remain anonymous, you will need to choose some kind of moniker to help us keep track of who is ‘speaking’ to whom.

To send something for publication, or to make suggestions, please send via email to us at

We are excited! Our new home will be easier for our new administrators to manage and the WordPress platform offers us more flexibility and space for file storage.

Even though we have a new look and some additional new leadership, the goal will remain exactly the same: Hosting a dialogue among parents, educators and community members focused on improving our schools and providing a quality, equitable education for each of our nearly 100,000 students.

This is a great sharing site. I wish we had something like this back in Ohio to share all sorts of information. Keep up the good work. Our school districts are only as good as our participants make it. We all need to watch out for our schools and our students.
